Values Statement

The South Area Israel Action Team (“SAIAT”) maintain that the
State of Israel and the people of Israel:

·         Are legally, morally, historically and biblically connected to the Land of Israel

·         Have formed a budding democracy in a very “tough neighborhood” and have afforded all its citizens that have accepted the sovereignty of the State of Israel with the highest levels of democratic and human rights in the region regardless of race, ethnicity or religion.

·         Have endeavored in good faith to reach a peaceful compromise solution with the Palestinian Arabs evidenced by the many territorial concessions and withdrawals made during the Oslo Peace Process and subsequent agreements. Such concessions culminated in the sweeping sacrifices at Camp David where P.M. Barak offered the PA virtually the entire (95%) West Bank and East Jerusalem.

·         Were spurned by the PA/PLO which ultimately demanded of Israel her national suicide by flooding pre-67 borders with “Palestinian right of return” claimants

·         Have endured repeated acts of violence and murder through the Oslo process and finally Arafat’s mini-war since 9/30/2000.

·         Have been subjected to mistreatment, bias and unbalanced reporting by many major western media outlets

·         Have a right to self-defense, and “active self-defense”, in the case of a clear and present danger from known terrorists bent on violence and murder
